Are your sarees really hand-woven?
Yes. Every saree in our Katan and Tissue collections is hand-woven on a wooden loom in our atelier in Banaras. The weaving time per saree ranges from 12 to 24 days depending on the complexity of the motif.
What is real zari, and do you use it?
Real zari is a silk core wrapped in tested 92.5% silver, then gold-plated. We use real zari on all our bridal pieces and on our heritage Katan sarees (₹24,000 and above). Each saree comes with a card stating which zari was used.
How long does a bridal lehenga take?
Our made-to-order bridal lehengas take 4 months from commission to delivery. The gher alone is woven over 3 months on a single loom. We accept a maximum of 12 bridal commissions per year.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide via DHL Express, fully insured. International orders are dispatched within 2 business days for in-stock items. Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Can I visit the atelier in Banaras?
Yes, by appointment. We offer private atelier visits on weekdays, which include a tour of the looms, a conversation with a master weaver, and a private viewing of one-of-one archival pieces.
What is your return policy?
In-stock items can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unworn and with all tags intact. Made-to-order pieces, including bridal lehengas, are non-returnable. We offer free alterations on all made-to-order pieces for the lifetime of the garment.
